Sean Gaffney is a practicing architect in New York. He received his Bachelor's Degree from The Cooper Union School of Architecture, where he was awarded the Menschel Grant and is now a visiting instructor. He has practiced in the offices of Bernard Tschumi and Marvel Architects. He is the co-editor of Construction Matters.

Christina Nguyen is a practicing architect in New York. She received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Florida and her Master's Degree from Columbia GSAPP, where she was recognized for Excellence in Design. She has taught at Columbia University and was a guest lecturer at the Guggenheim. She has practiced in the offices of Lyn Rice Architects, Arquitectonica, and
Rockwell Group.

Together they work within the boundaries of the natural and built environment, striving to create an equilibrium between the two. Their competition proposal Duck-Work was recently built and showcased during the Urban Timber: From Seed to City exhibition at BSA Space in Boston. Their work Unearth is part of the traveling exhibition 5x5: Participatory Provocations, which will be featured at Columbia GSAPP this July.
