Sean Gaffney is a practicing architect in Los Angeles. He received his Bachelor's Degree from The Cooper Union School of Architecture, where he was awarded the Menschel Grant and is now a visiting instructor. He has practiced in the offices of Bernard Tschumi, Marvel Architects, and Walker Workshop. He is the co-editor of Construction Matters.
Christina Nguyen is a practicing architect in Los Angeles. She received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Florida and her Master's Degree from Columbia GSAPP, where she was recognized for Excellence in Design. She has taught at Columbia University and was a guest lecturer at the Guggenheim. She has practiced in the offices of Arquitectonica, Rockwell Group, and Marmol Radziner.
Together they work within the boundaries of the natural and built environment, striving to create an equilibrium between the two. Unearth was part of the traveling exhibition 5x5: Participatory Provocations. Their proposal Park's Playground was shortlisted for the Beyond the Centerline competition in 2018.
